Visual Business Plan.
When I was at Parsons School of Design I studied under a really amazing designer named William Bailey. He taught a class about creating a retail space in the form of a visual business plan. That is exactly what we did. He presented us with great challenges, at times conducted classes on the corner of a busy New York City street and was continuously spurring me along. All of our assignments were due in a clear 8.5″x11″ notebook sleeve, as a copy. This format filled up a huge binder of illustrations and collages for Annie’s Omnium. At the time I would spend hours at the self service copy shops collaging and duplicating my ideas for this course and bringing my visions and dreams to life on paper.
